This marks the second year that Lautner, who usually loses out on fan voted awards to Pattinson, has beaten Rob for the award. This proves that Taylor is really starting to break away from his Twilight role, and gaining serious respect.

Of course, Lautner is beloved by his millions of fans, which never hurts when up for an award. The adorable actor is always humble, and seems to keep his feet on the ground no matter what. Taylor, who once said he’d love to be a Tom Cruise caliber action star, is definitely headed in the right direction. Robert Pattinson (and all other teen heartthrobs) better look out, because Taylor Lautner is here to stay.

Taylor was filming on the set of Abduction, when an Irving, Calfornia RV dealer failed to deliver him the trailer he requested on June 21st. McMahon’s RV reportedly delivered Lautner a shoddy, unsafe vehicle instead of the custom trailer he paid for.

Lautner sued for fraud and breach of contract on August 23. Initially, Brent McMahon challenged the fit actor to a pushup contest to determine the outcome of the lawsuit. Lautner’s lawyer declined, stating in an email how the lack of professionalism that McMahon and his associates once again demonstrated is what sparked the lawsuit in the first place.

Robert Barta, Lautner’s attorney, made this statement to US Magazine: “McMahon’s RV has agreed to settle its dispute with Taylor Lautner. McMahon’s RV will pay $40,000 to Lautner, which the 18-year-old actor will donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children’s charity with which he has a long-standing relationship.”

In an interview with SyFy’s Blastr.com, Singer revealed that he did indeed want Twilight wolfboy Taylor Lautner on board Mathew Vaughn’s X prequel…

X-Men producer and writer Bryan Singer cleared up some X-Men: First Class rumors for us at the unlikeliest of places—a church in Hollywood, where he was a guest speaker on Sunday. After the hour-long talk, Singer talked to us about the casting—which he is in the middle of doing at the moment. Kevin Bacon is in; Taylor Lautner is out, for now; Meagan Good is uncertain.

“I wanted Taylor [Lautner] to do it, I really did,” Singer said in an exclusive interview. “He’s doing a movie in Pittsburgh called Abduction and then he’s got the next Twilight movie. We talked about it a lot, he is a friend, and I really wanted to make it work. It just doesn’t look like it’s possible to do it.”

Looks like we won’t be seeing him after all, it would have really been interesting to see him part of the X-Men legacy though, I have to admit.

Taylor Lautner already plays one of the most recognizable onscreen characters as werewolf Jacob Black in the teen hysteria-inducing “Twilight” flicks. But another star thinks Lautner should put his ripped physique to good use in another role. “Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman says Lautner could convincingly don a pair of claws as a teen Wolverine in next year’s “X-Men: First Class.”

“My only question is: Can he grow mutton chops?” Jackman wondered to Eonline.com’s Marc Malkin. But then, remembering the droves of girls around the world enamored with the considerably less hirsute Jacob, Jackman reconsidered the idea of a woolly Lautner.

“Actually, I think people would probably prefer him as a hairless Wolverine than a rather hairy-chested version. Certainly about a billion young girls would,” Jackman observed.

Although he’s got a co-sign from the star of the “Wolverine” franchise, Lautner’s not pressed for work. The young heartthrob has some other flicks lined up, including the thriller “Abduction,” which recently started production and stars Lautner as a teen who gets entangled in a web of espionage after seeking out his birth parents. And while he might not be shredding foes as Wolverine anytime soon, the “Twilight” hunk is also slated for a superhero flick in the title role of the upcoming “Stretch Armstrong.” Lautner hasn’t mentioned sprouting heaps of hair for a film, but he has expressed his willingness to transform physically, even abandoning his muscular bod, for the right part.

“If it was for a role that I was passionate about, I would definitely do that,” Lautner told MTV News last month. “I want to challenge myself to everything,” he added, noting that he’s open to sinking his teeth into a range of flicks. “I’ve got a really cool action thriller [in 'Abduction'] and then an awesome superhero movie [in 'Stretch Armstrong'], but I want to find a great drama script.”

He said that he is a person who looks for loyalty and honesty. Also the girl should be someone who values her identity and not go behind imitating someone else. Another quality that he looks for is, the person should be fun loving and cool.

The interesting fact about this 18 year old werewolf is that although he is ready to date a fan. He confessed that he is a big fan of Jessica Alba. “I’ve always been a big fan of Jessica Alba. So I have to throw her name out there. Yeah, I”d have to stick with her because I’ve always loved Jessica,” he added.

Interview behind the cut
It’s a good thing Taylor Lautner spent all that time building up those much-discussed muscles of his, because it turns out he needed them during the filming of a particularly labor-intensive scene in “Eclipse.”

“There’s a scene where I’m carrying [Kristen Stewart], and it’s also, like, four pages of dialogue,” Lautner told MTV News. “So I’m carrying her, and we’re walking through the woods, and I’m talking to her, and it’s a pretty intense talk. We actually had plans, a rig that was basically going to carry her, and I was just going to pretend that I was carrying her. We got there on the day, and the rig didn’t look very natural. They were like, ‘What are we going to do?’ and I’m like, ‘I’ll just carry her. She’s like, what, 110 pounds? It’s no big deal!’ ”

So he thought. Unfortunately for Lautner, it was no quick take. “We filmed that scene all day long,” he said. “Did the wide shot, did my close-up, did her close-up, the back shot, everything. It was so hard. … It was painful.”

Something else that was painful — or looks painful onscreen at least — is a scene in which Lautner’s Jacob gets a little too forward with Stewart’s Bella and earns himself a swift punch to the face.

“It was rough,” Lautner said of the scene. “Let’s just say the second kiss was a lot better than the first.” He added that things could have been worse for him, had they let Stewart actually make contact with Lautner’s face. “I wanted her just to give me a shot, let her punch me once, and we’ll be done. Of course, we couldn’t do that, so it was some major technical thing where I had to stand there and pretend I’m getting punched and then … we had to have her fist punching a bag. It was very technical.”

What about the fact that it will be two films?

Taylor Lautner: “I think that was definitely the right thing to do. It is definitely hard enough to break down 500+ pages into a 110-120 page script. This one is 800 and there is just so much going on with the wolf pack and the baby. There is a lot of stuff, so to condense that into one film would definitely be a challenge. I am very excited that it is two. Looking forward to it.”

Have you spoken to Bill Condon yet about Breaking Dawn?

Taylor Lautner: “I have only met Bill once, very briefly, so we have not had time to discuss it. He seems like a very nice guy. Obviously, he is extremely talented. I think whatever comes our way, he is going to be able to deal with it. I am looking forward to talking with him.”

How do you think you will prepare yourself for the unique, romantic aspects that you will find yourself in?

Taylor Lautner: “I haven’t started thinking about it too much right now. We are focusing on Eclipse coming out. We are promoting that. Then after that I am focusing on Abduction. Then after that it will be Breaking Dawn. I’m sure as soon as we meet with Bill further down the road, we will go towards that, but that will be interesting.”

Do you think the werewolves will go into a musical number?

Taylor Lautner: “I think he actually already released a statement promising there would be no musical number in it. [Laughing]. It is funny.”

With Breaking Dawn, there is talk of not keeping so close to the book because it is a little out there. What are your thoughts on keeping it faithful to the book versus changing it a bit for the movie?

Taylor Lautner: “It is definitely super important to us to maintain as faithful as possible to the books because that is exactly what the fans want to see. They want to see the books. Yeah, there may have to be a few changes here and there, but as long as we maintain the basic story, everything the characters go through, and all those emotions, we are going to be fine. I think that Bill Condon, whatever he does, is going to turn out amazing. I definitely trust in him, and I think the fans should as well.”
