ET (Entertainment Tonight) recently interviewed with Janice Min who is the Editor in Chief of “Us Weekly” magazine, about their new mini “Twilight” special edition magazine they’ve got coming out on June 26,2009. The video reveals that it will have more unseen Robert Pattinson photos. It’s going to be entitled “The Sexy Stars of Twilight”.
Janice Min said this “Twilight”and “New Moon” thing is so huge that they can’t ignore it. It also shows a brief interview clip with Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. The new “Twilight” magazine will have seven posters, 150 photos, and interviews with the cast members. The magazine will also explore romance rumors. Janice said if you’re a “Twilight Saga” junkie, then this magazine will be the fix.

No surprises here: The young-adult vampire phenomenon Twilight scored 12 nominations for the Teen Choice Awards, including actor and actress in a drama, and drama itself (up against Slumdog Millionaire, Angels and Demons, Obsessed, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). The Disney franchise pic High School Musical 3 garnered 10 nominations, as did The CW’s Gossip Girl. Miley Cyrus nabbed 10 nominations all by her lonesome, one more than the hosts of the show, the Jonas Brothers. The Teen Choice Awards will air Monday, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. Eastern on Fox.

After dominating the MTV Movie Awards last month with wins in categories like Best Movie, Best Kiss and Best Fight, “Twilight” is poised to rule another awards show later this summer. Fox’s 2009 Teen Choice Awards were announced on Monday (June 15), and the vampire flick scored 12 total nominations, including nods for Drama, Romance and Actor and Actress in a Drama. The show airs on Monday, August 10.
Following closely behind “Twilight” with 10 nominations each were “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” “Gossip Girl” and Miley Cyrus. The Jonas Brothers, who are set to host the show on August 10, notched nine nominations in categories such as Love Song and Breakout Show.
The Teen Choice Awards bestow awards for movies, television, music, sports and pop culture views like Male and Female Hottie, Celebrity Pet and Celebrity Baby.
In the Drama movie category, “Twilight” will compete against “Angels & Demons,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Obsessed” and “Slumdog Millionaire.” In Romance, the film will do battle with “Australia,” “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” “He’s Just Not That Into You” and “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.” “Twilight” vampire Robert Pattinson vies for Actor in a Drama against Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum. Pattinson was also nominated in the Male Hottie category. For her portrayal of Bella Swan in “Twilight,” Kristen Stewart will contend with Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Beyoncé and Freida Pinto for Actress in a Drama.
In the TV categories, “Gossip Girl” goes against shows like “90201″ and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” in the Drama category. “The Hills” competes with “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in the Reality category. Miley Cyrus’ nominations include those for actress in a TV comedy and music single.
Lil Wayne and Kanye West are among those contending for top rap artist, while T-Pain, Beyoncé and others are up for top R&B artist. Rock Group nominations include Paramore, Green Day and the All-American Rejects.
Which lucky pet garnered a nomination? The Obamas’ Portuguese Water Dog (Bo), Katy Perry’s cat (Kitty Purry) and Vanessa Hudgens’ poodle (Shadow), among others. Young ones butting heads for Celebrity Baby include Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s Harlow, and Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s Zuma.

Twilight might not be a heavy hitter at this year’s Oscars, but fans of the book-based film have the best kind of news to celebrate this weekend. Summit Entertainment is expected to officially announce a green light for a second sequel, Eclipse, to hit theaters on June 30, 2010, says Variety.
That would give those who obsess on all things Bella, Edward and Jacob a new bite out of the series just seven months after the first follow-up, New Moon, premieres on Nov. 20 of this year.
For the uninitiated, New Moon finds Taylor Lautner’s Jacob, a werewolf, emerging as a central (if hairy) figure. Eclipse then forces Bella (Kristen Stewart) to choose between Edward (Robert Pattinson, also rather hairy) and Jacob.

According to Lion_lamb, the official Japanese site for Twilight has announced that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will go to Japan for a fan event on February 27th. The event will take place in Tokyo, Ebisu Garden Place at 16:30.
Good news for Twi-hards; judging by the tips “Twilight” stars Ashley Greene and Kellen Lutz shared with Access Hollywood about “New Moon” on Thursday night, it sounds like the second installment in the series will remain faithful to Stephenie Meyer’s book.
“I can tell you there’s a yellow Porsche,” Greene revealed at the premiere of Dakota Fanning’s “Push,” confirming that the vehicle, which plays a special role in the “New Moon” book, will be in the movie.
“I can tell you there’s werewolves,” she added coyly. “I think (the details of ‘New Moon’ script are) kind of highly under wraps.”
Greene, who plays Alice Cullen, the sister of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson’s character, is expected to return alongside Lutz, who plays older brother Emmett Cullen.
“We are both confirmed to be a part of it,” he said before retracting only slightly. “I’m still waiting — crossing fingers.”
Both actors said they are thrilled over the return of Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, a young man/werewolf (and the best friend of Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan), to the franchise.
“I’m so proud of him,” Lutz said of the recent bulk-up Lautner underwent to secure his role in “New Moon.”
But one of their co-stars, Edi Gathegi, who plays Laurent, an old-school style vampire in the series, said he actually said he saw Lautner’s transformation as it happened.
“I actually worked out with him,” Gathegi revealed to Access last night. “We were working out in Australia together and working out across the country, so I saw it happening. I was there on the front lines. He was a little shrimp and he’s somewhat of a man now.”
Gathegi who will appear in “New Moon,” told Access the film would begin shooting in early spring.
“We start shooting in March in Vancouver and in Italy,” he said
But whether the cast will include Dakota Fanning, who has repeatedly said she is interested in appearing in “New Moon,” is still up in the air.
“It’s probably too soon to say for sure, but I’m a huge fan,” Fanning said.
